New Start

Posted on Jan 1st, 2009 by Mili22
Hii
As every year begins people want to start fresh. The first weeks it works but as time passes by we tend to bounce back to our old ways. Last year I learned and grew the most. It was my graduation from high school, starting college, going to Guatemala to finally meet my relatives, and finding a summer love. Thats only half the stuff that happened.......However, with all those experiences I learned A LOT of lessons. Growing up I never spoke spanish and its a bad thing since I am hispanic. However, with time and support from friends I learned. At this moment I am not as afraid to speak it and sound funny or make a mistake. I grew out of my shell and realize that I have to be myself and not care what people say. For this year I vouch to speak spanish to my grandmother and father which I have not done yet. This year I want to grow even more and become an adult. I want to do what I want and not be afraid to take chances. I want to give chances to guys in which before my BIG Head didn't let me see how wonderful they are. As one of my favorite quotes say "We hurt the ones who loves us and love the ones who hurt us", something like that. I want to get closer to God and really get to know him and of course Jesus. I want to be confident in myself and not  be afraid to wear what I want to wear. I have all these goals for this new year and I know I can do it. I just need to trust in myself and in Jesus to help me through this new journey. I'll keep updating on my progress, I hope it talk about progress and not my failures. Though with our failures we gain strength.......

1) What is your purpose? (25 words or less.) If you had to describe your calling in life, what would you say? What are you here to do? What gift is yours to give to the world?

2) What do you love, and how do (or will) your actions demonstrate this? (250 words or less.) We at Gaia believe that following your heart is the best way to help the whole planet. What do you care about, and what do you most enjoy doing?

3) Write your ideal job description. (250 words or less.) Forget about job titles like 'doctor' or 'artist' or 'lawyer.' If you could get paid just to live, how would you spend your time? What would you devote your life to? What would your days be like?

  1.   My purpose is to help others overcome obstacles I've overcame by the words I speak and in my writing of stories, songs, and poetry.

2.     Throughtout my journey in life I have learned what I love and what I hate. I love to write and it's my form expression. I love to become another character in my novels and I love to write music because music is a powerful thing in our society. Moreover, I love to spread the word of God and help youths find him. All of those things I love to do and those things goes hand in hand with helping.

I am in love with a lot of things but my heart always yearns to help. However, the things I love I can use to help.  I want to help teenagers realize that their voice and dreams are important. Moreover, I want to help all the young girls with self-esteem problems. I will accomplish my hearts passion in helping by being a motivation speaker. I will go around to schools and parishes to preach about the need of a dream. I will write songs and poems to show young adults that even though we may fail a million of times, our dream is closer than we imagine.  Furthermore, I will write novels to show characters who have accomplish their goals and overcome problems like depression or weight issues.  I love to see a person accomplish their goals and see the smile on their face when they realize they are beautiful the way they are.

3.       Jobs titles are what we have grown into because of how our society works. However, I want to do a million of things that a job title isn't out there. My ideal job would consist of various tasks. I would spend time traveling to different parts of the United States as a motivational speaker and a preacher at youth groups. Teaching about coming of age problems and about God. Moreover, I would travel to different countries to help all those people in need of water, clothing, and most importantly hope. The time I had when I wasn't traveling I would devote to writing and making sure my voice was being heard. Furthermore, I would help immigrants realize that they too have a calling here and that they can get an education to make a difference.

All of those things I'll do in my life but they will just help me with what my true goal is. I want to build a clinic where people can come for help. For women who have been abused in all ways. I want to build the in areas that help is not given. In the clinic we will teach about abstinence, self-esteem problems, many more issues. We will have classes like dance, art, and choir. That will give the chance to children who want to learn a certain thing but can't afford to do so. Furthermore, by being involved in an activity in which their good at it will build their confidence.
